Concrete Jungle Foundation (CJF) is an international non profit organization that builds skateparks and runs youth development programming in communities around the world to promote health and well-being, access to education, community development, gender equality, and economic growth. To date, CJF has built skateparks in Angola, Jamaica, Peru, and Morocco.
“I first became aware of Concrete Jungle Foundation in 2016 via the Flipping Youth program after reading an article on The Berrics highlighting efforts to build a skatepark in Kingston, Jamaica. It took four years to open the park, and I learned first-hand the challenges of not only getting a park built but keeping it running and safe for kids to enjoy,” says Mirko Mangum, Opus Footwear founder.
“CJF is the organization that not only builds skateparks but enlists and teaches the community how to operate and maintain them. I'm a big fan of CJF and was asked to join the board in 2023. I'm proud Opus can contribute to maintaining the current parks and continue to build more while empowering youth worldwide through skateboarding.”
